New leader of the global IMV Companion Animal business: Tina Hunt succeeds Gavin Mitchell

February 9nd, 2026 – Bellshill - IMV Companion Animal announces a change at the top of the global Business Unit: as of February 16, 2026, Tina Hunt succeeds Gavin Mitchell as Managing Director of the IMV Companion Animal Business Unit. Gavin Mitchell, one of the founders, has successfully grown the company to offer a multi-modal imaging portfolio for Companion Animal and established its footprint in Europe. Gavin is leaving the Group on a planned exit to pursue other opportunities.


Joachim Hasenmaier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IMV Technologies Group, said: “We wholeheartedly thank Gavin for his energy and commitment to IMV Companion Animal and thank him for more than 25 years of service. Under his leadership, the IMV Companion Animal business has grown substantially and has executed a number of acquisitions and OEM partnerships to fuel the aggressive growth. This legacy will prevail as Tina Hunt takes the business on the next steps of this exciting journey. Gavin Mitchell shared his thanks to the IMV Companion Animal customers, suppliers and global colleagues for their friendship and the opportunity to bring imaging solutions and services into the hands of veterinarians around the world: “I am exceptionally proud of the journey that we are on and the successes that we have achieved together. Tina Hunt shared her enthusiasm: “I am absolutely delighted and excited to take over the leadership of IMV companion animal from Gavin. With the IMV Companion Animal team we will continue to develop and serve our veterinary practice customers and build a European champion in companion animal imaging”.


Tina Hunt is Scottish and has 35 years experience in the animal health industry; first as a veterinary surgeon and then in roles of increasing responsibility in various US animal health corporations. Most recently she was General Manager Canada, General Manager UK/I and VP Transformation for Elanco where her responsibilities included global integrations and operational excellence.
